नवी दिल्ली (Delhi Hospital Ceiling Fan Incident) : दिल्लीतील गुरु तेग बहादूर रुग्णालयात उपचार घेत असतानाच रुग्णाच्या अंगावर चालता पंखा पडल्याची संतापजनक घटना उघडकीस आली आहे. या घटनेनंतर काही तासांतच संबंधित रुग्णाचा मृत्यू झाल्याने रुग्णालयाच्या सुरक्षाव्यवस्थेवर गंभीर प्रश्न उपस्थित झाले असून, मृताच्या नातेवाईकांनी निष्काळजीपणाचा दावा करत चौकशीची मागणी केली आहे. मृत रुग्णाची ओळख मोहम्मद अकबर अशी असून, त्याला उच्च रक्तदाब आणि न्यूमोनिया या गंभीर आजारांमुळे रुग्णालयात दाखल करण्यात आले होते. शनिवार, दि. १९ जुलै रोजी रात्री आपत्कालीन विभागात त्याच्यावर उपचार सुरू असतानाच अचानक पंखा तुटून त्याच्या अंगावर पडल्याचे सांगण्यात आले आहे. या घटनेत एक नर्सिंग अधिकारीही जखमी झाल्याची माहिती समोर येत आहे.

घटनेनंतर रुग्णाला तातडीने वैद्यकीय मदत देण्यात आली. मात्र मध्यरात्रीच्या सुमारास त्याचा मृत्यू झाला. मृत्यूच्या प्रमाणपत्रात आधीच असलेल्या आजारांमुळे मृत्यू झाल्याचे नमूद करण्यात आले. त्यामुळे रुग्णाचा मृत्यू पंखा पडून झाला की, आधीच्या आजारांमूळे? असा प्रश्न उपस्थित होत आहे.(Delhi Hospital Ceiling Fan Incident)
