नवी दिल्ली (S Jaishankar India Global Power) : भारताकडे पुढील पाच ते दहा वर्षांत जागतिक शक्तींच्या क्रमवारीत वेगाने वर येण्याची क्षमता आहे, असे परराष्ट्र मंत्री एस. जयशंकर यांनी म्हटले आहे. आगामी दशकांतील वेगवान आर्थिक विकास, अनुकूल लोकसंख्याशास्त्रीय रचना आणि नव्या आर्थिक संधी यांचा भारताला मोठा फायदा होऊ शकतो, असे त्यांनी नमूद केले.

रविवार, दि. ४ ऑक्टोबर रोजी नवी दिल्ली येथे आयोजित ‘म्युनिक लीडर्स मीटिंग’मध्ये जयशंकर यांना पुढील पाच ते दहा वर्षांत जागतिक व्यवस्थेत भारताचे स्थान काय असेल, असा प्रश्न विचारण्यात आला. यावेळी त्यांनी सध्याच्या ‘मिडल पॉवर’ म्हणून ओळखल्या जाणाऱ्या देशांचा विकास एकाच दिशेने होईलच असे नाही, असे स्पष्ट केले. ग्लोबल इकॉनॉमीमध्ये नव्या संधी

भारताला पूर्वीच्या अर्थव्यवस्थांनी स्वीकारलेल्या पारंपरिक औद्योगिकीकरणाच्या मार्गावरच चालण्याची गरज असेल असे नाही, असेही जयशंकर यांनी म्हटले. बदलत्या जागतिक अर्थव्यवस्थेमुळे अनेक नव्या संधी निर्माण होत असून, त्यांचा भारताला फायदा घेता येऊ शकतो, असे त्यांनी सांगितले. ‘मिडल पॉवर्स’मध्ये भारताचे स्थान काय?

जागतिक शक्तींच्या क्रमवारीत बदल हा सर्व देशांसाठी सारखा असणार नाही, असे जयशंकर यांनी स्पष्ट केले. सध्या ‘मिडल पॉवर’ म्हणून एकाच श्रेणीत गणले जाणारे देश भविष्यात वेगवेगळ्या दिशेने पुढे जाऊ शकतात.

काही देश या श्रेणीतून पुढे जातील, काहींची स्थिती कायम राहील, तर काही देश तुलनेने मागे पडू शकतात. जागतिक व्यवस्थेत होत असलेल्या बदलांचा हा एक भाग असल्याचे जयशंकर यांनी सांगितले. (S Jaishankar India Global Power)
