२० शहरांत लॉकडाऊन, शाळा-कार्यालये बंद; तैवानमध्ये ‘चम्पी’ चक्रीवादळाचा तडाखा!

तैपेई (Typhoon Champi Taiwan October 2026) : ‘चम्पी’ चक्रीवादळाच्या आगमनाच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर तैवानमध्ये हाय अलर्ट जारी करण्यात आला आहे. या वादळामुळे ताशी १७० किलोमीटर वेगाने वारे वाहण्याची शक्यता हवामान विभागाने वर्तवली आहे. खबरदारीचा उपाय म्हणून तैवान प्रशासनाने अनेक भागांमध्ये शाळा आणि कार्यालये बंद ठेवण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आहे. तसेच, शेकडो विमानांची उड्डाणे रद्द करण्यात आली आहेत.

स्थानिक प्रशासनाकडून मिळालेल्या माहितीनुसार, ग्रेटर तैपेई, कीलुंग आणि ताओयुआनसह अनेक भागांतील शाळा आणि कार्यालये शुक्रवार, २३ ऑक्टोबर रोजी बंद ठेवण्यात आली आहेत. दक्षिण तैवानमधील युनलिन, चियायी, तैनान, काओशुंग आणि पिंगतुंग येथेही बंदची तयारी करण्यात आली आहे. (Typhoon Champi Taiwan October 2026)

पूर्व तैवान आणि बाहेरील बेटांवरील यिलान, हुआलिएन, पेंघु आणि लिएनजियांग या भागांमध्येही बंद घोषित करण्यात आला आहे. वादळामुळे संभाव्य धोका लक्षात घेऊन अनेक ठिकाणी व्यावसायिक व्यवहारही स्थगित करण्यात आले आहेत.

प्रशासनाकडून सतर्कतेचा इशारा

तैवानच्या केंद्रीय हवामान विभागाने गुरुवार, दि. २२ ऑक्टोबर रोजी ‘चम्पी’ चक्रीवादळ तैवानच्या जवळ पोहोचल्याची सूचना दिली. हवामान विभागाच्या माहितीनुसार, हे वादळ शुक्रवार, दि. २३ ऑक्टोबर रोजी तैवानला धडकण्याची शक्यता आहे. त्याचे परिणाम शनिवारपर्यंत जाणवू शकतात. त्यामुळे नागरिकांना सतर्क राहण्याचे आवाहन करण्यात आले आहे. ताशी २५० किलोमीटर वेगाने वाहणारे वारे

‘चम्पी’ चक्रीवादळाने दि. २० ऑक्टोबरच्या सुमारास अत्यंत तीव्र स्वरूप धारण केले होते. त्यावेळी वाऱ्यांचा वेग ताशी सुमारे २३० ते २५० किलोमीटरपर्यंत पोहोचल्याचे वृत्त आहे. त्यामुळे हे वादळ २०२६ मधील प्रशांत महासागरातील सर्वाधिक शक्तिशाली वादळांपैकी एक ठरले. (Typhoon Champi Taiwan October 2026)

हाँगकाँग वेधशाळेच्या दि. २३ ऑक्टोबर रोजीच्या माहितीनुसार, चक्रीवादळाच्या केंद्राजवळ वाऱ्यांचा कमाल वेग ताशी १६५ ते १७० किलोमीटर होता. वादळाची तीव्रता काहीशी कमी झाली असली, तरी त्याचा धोका अद्याप कायम आहे.

दरम्यान, तैपेई शहरात गेल्या २४ तासांत २०० मिलिमीटर पावसाची नोंद झाल्याचे वृत्त आहे. मुसळधार पाऊस आणि जोरदार वाऱ्यांमुळे जनजीवन विस्कळीत होण्याची शक्यता असून, प्रशासनाकडून परिस्थितीवर लक्ष ठेवले जात आहे. (Typhoon Champi Taiwan October 2026)
