नवी दिल्ली: (Iron Dome) इस्रायलच्या ‘आयरन डोम’प्रमाणेच स्वदेशी बहुस्तरीय हवाई संरक्षण प्रणाली विकसित करण्याच्या दिशेने भारताने आणखी एक महत्त्वपूर्ण टप्पा गाठला आहे. संरक्षण संशोधन आणि विकास संस्था (DRDO) ने सलग तीन इंटरसेप्टर क्षेपणास्त्रांच्या यशस्वी चाचण्या करत भारताची हवाई आणि सागरी संरक्षण क्षमता अधिक मजबूत असल्याचे सिद्ध केले आहे. बुधवार आणि गुरुवारी ओडिशातील चांदीपूर येथील एकात्मिक चाचणी केंद्रावर (Integrated Test Range) दोन अत्याधुनिक इंटरमिजिएट रेंज बॅलेस्टिक मिसाइल (IRBM) इंटरसेप्टर क्षेपणास्त्रांची यशस्वी चाचणी घेण्यात आली. ही क्षेपणास्त्रे २,००० ते ५,००० किलोमीटर अंतरावरून येणाऱ्या शत्रूच्या बॅलेस्टिक क्षेपणास्त्रांचा मागोवा घेऊन त्यांना हवेतच नष्ट करण्यासाठी विकसित करण्यात आली आहेत. विशेष म्हणजे ही प्रणाली वातावरणाच्या आत आणि बाहेर दोन्ही स्तरांवर कार्य करण्यास सक्षम असून भविष्यात आंतरखंडीय बॅलेस्टिक क्षेपणास्त्रांच्या (ICBM) धोक्यांनाही प्रत्युत्तर देण्याची क्षमता विकसित करण्याच्या दिशेने भारताची तयारी सुरू असल्याचे मानले जात आहे. (Iron Dome)
याशिवाय DRDO ने नौदलासाठी विकसित करण्यात आलेल्या एका अत्याधुनिक जहाजविरोधी क्षेपणास्त्राची स्वतंत्र यशस्वी चाचणीही केली. समुद्रसपाटीच्या अगदी जवळून उड्डाण करणाऱ्या या क्षेपणास्त्राने लक्ष्याचा अचूक वेध घेतला. या चाचणीबाबत अधिकृत माहिती जाहीर करण्यात आलेली नसली तरी संरक्षण क्षेत्रात याकडे महत्त्वपूर्ण यश म्हणून पाहिले जात आहे. भारत सध्या ‘मिशन सुदर्शन चक्र’ अंतर्गत बहुस्तरीय हवाई संरक्षण कवच उभारण्यावर भर देत आहे. या प्रकल्पामध्ये अत्याधुनिक रडार, कमांड अँड कंट्रोल सेंटर आणि विविध श्रेणीतील इंटरसेप्टर क्षेपणास्त्रांचा समावेश आहे. याआधी ‘ऑपरेशन सिंदूर’ दरम्यान भारताने आपल्या संरक्षण क्षमतेचे प्रदर्शन केले होते, ज्यामध्ये S-400 प्रणालीची महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका होती. आता स्वदेशी तंत्रज्ञानावर आधारित हवाई संरक्षण प्रणाली विकसित करण्यासाठी सुरू असलेल्या या चाचण्या भारताच्या संरक्षण स्वावलंबनाच्या दिशेने मोठे पाऊल मानल्या जात आहेत. वातावरणातील आणि अवकाशातून होणाऱ्या संभाव्य हल्ल्यांचा धोका निष्प्रभ करण्याच्या उद्देशाने भारताचा बॅलेस्टिक मिसाइल डिफेन्स (BMD) कार्यक्रम वेगाने पुढे सरकत आहे.
