मुंबई: (Raj Thackeray 2008 railway case) मनसे अध्यक्ष राज ठाकरे यांच्या राजकीय कारकिर्दीला कलाटणी देणाऱ्या २००८ मधील परप्रांतीय मारहाण प्रकरणातील गुन्ह्याचा गुरूवारी २१ मे २०२६ रोजी अंतिम निकाल लागला. ठाणे सत्र न्यायालयाने २००८ मध्ये रेल्वे भरती आंदोलनानंतर कल्याण रेल्वे स्थानकावर झालेल्या हिंसाचार प्रकरणात राज ठाकरे यांना निर्दोष मुक्त करण्याचा निर्णय सुनावला आहे. या निकालामुळे राज ठाकरे यांच्या राजकीय कारकिर्दीला मोठा दिलासा मिळाला असून, मनसेमध्ये जल्लोषाचे वातावरण पसरले आहे. ठाणे मुख्य न्यायदंडाधिकारी न्यायालयाचे मुख्य न्यायदंडाधिकारी अभिजीत व्ही. कुलकर्णी यांनी या खटल्याचा फैसला वाचताना स्पष्ट केले की, सरकारी पक्षाने राज ठाकरेंसह आरोपी क्रमांक १ ते ७ यांच्यावर आरोप सिद्ध होईल असा कोणताही पुरावा सादर केला नाही. कोर्टाच्या म्हणण्यानुसार, आरोपी घटनास्थळी प्रत्यक्ष उपस्थित होते, हा दाखवणारा कोणताच ठोस पुरावा शासनाच्या वतीने सादर करता आला नाही. त्यामुळे “पुराव्यानभावी” या सर्व आरोपींना निर्दोष मुक्त करण्यात आले. २००८ चे प्रकरण: नेमके काय घडले होते?
२००८ साली ऑल इंडिया रेल्वे भरती परीक्षेसाठी महाराष्ट्रातील विशेषतः कल्याण परिसरात उत्तर भारतीय उमेदवारांची लांब रांग लागली होती. त्याच पार्श्वभूमीवर मनसेचे आंदोलन होते. राज ठाकरे हे त्या वेळी “मराठी तरुणांच्या नोकऱ्या परप्रांतीयांनी हिरावल्या” असे म्हणत भडकाऊ भाषणे करत होते, असा आरोप पोलिस आणि तक्रार करणाऱ्यांकडून होता. याच भाषणाच्या दुष्परिणामामुळे मनसेकार्यकर्त्यांनी कल्याण रेल्वे स्थानकावर उत्तर भारतीय विद्यार्थ्यांच्या मारहाणीतून आणि रेल्वे मालमत्तेच्या नुकसानातून हे प्रकरण न्यायालयापर्यंत पोहोचले होते. या गुन्ह्यात एकूण आठ जणांवर गुन्हा दाखल होता, त्यातील दोन आरोपींचा काही काळापूर्वीच मृत्यू झाला. उर्वरित आरोपींवरची सुनावणी बऱ्याच वर्षांपासून कल्याण नंतर ठाणे रेल्वे न्यायालयात चालत होती. काही आरोपी वेळेवर न्यायालयात हजर राहत नसल्याने कोर्टाने त्यांच्यावर अटक वॉरंट देखील जारी केले होते, जी नंतर राज ठाकरेंच्या वकिलांकडून काढून टाकण्यात आली.
