मुंबईत पुन्हा 'बेस्ट' बसचा अपघात; रिव्हर्स घेताना पादचारी जखमी, दोन बाईक आणि रिक्षाचेही नुकसान, पण अपघाताचं कारण काय?

मुंबई: (BEST Bus Accident) शहरात 'बेस्ट' बसच्या अपघातांची मालिका थांबण्याचे नाव घेत नसतानाच भांडुप पश्चिम परिसरात बुधवारी ८ जुलै रोजी सकाळी आणखी एक अपघात घडला. कोकण नगर येथे बस रिव्हर्स घेत असताना ४३ वर्षीय पादचारी गंभीर जखमी झाला. त्याला वाचवण्याच्या प्रयत्नात बसवरील नियंत्रण सुटल्याने दोन दुचाकी आणि एका रिक्षालाही धडक बसली. सुदैवाने या घटनेत मोठी जीवितहानी टळली असली, तरी परिसरात काही काळ गोंधळाचे वातावरण निर्माण झाले. 'बेस्ट' नियंत्रण कक्षाकडून मिळालेल्या माहितीनुसार, ही घटना बुधवार, ८ जुलै रोजी सकाळी सुमारे ८.३० वाजण्याच्या सुमारास भांडुप पश्चिममधील कोकण नगर येथे घडली. ओशिवरा डेपोतून A-425/32 मार्गावर धावणारी बस क्रमांक ४०४७ या अपघातात सहभागी होती. (BEST Bus Accident)

रिव्हर्स घेताना घडला अपघात...

जखमी व्यक्तीचे नाव अतुल अनंत पडवे (वय ४३) असे असून, प्राथमिक माहितीनुसार बस कोकण नगरकडे उजवे वळण घेत असताना चालकाला योग्य प्रकारे वळण घेता आले नाही. त्यामुळे चालकाने बस मागे घेतली. याच वेळी बसचा मागील भाग अतुल पडवे यांना धडकला आणि ते झाडाच्या मोठ्या कुंडी व बसच्या मागील भागामध्ये अडकले. घटनास्थळी उपस्थित नागरिकांनी जखमीला वाचवण्यासाठी बसला धक्का देण्याचा प्रयत्न केला. मात्र त्यामुळे बस पुढे सरकली आणि चालकाचे वाहनावरील नियंत्रण सुटले. नियंत्रण सुटलेल्या बसने जवळ पार्क केलेल्या दोन दुचाकी आणि एका रिक्षाला धडक दिली. या धडकेत वाहनांचे नुकसान झाले. (BEST Bus Accident)

या अपघातात अतुल पडवे यांच्या दोन्ही मांड्यांना गंभीर दुखापत झाली असून मोठ्या प्रमाणात रक्तस्त्राव झाला. बस वाहकाने तत्काळ त्यांना मुलुंड येथील एम. टी. अग्रवाल रुग्णालयात दाखल केले. त्यांच्यावर उपचार सुरू असून प्रकृतीबाबत अधिकृत माहिती अद्याप समोर आलेली नाही. (BEST Bus Accident)

घटनेनंतर 'बेस्ट' प्रशासनाने विशेष बस निरीक्षक आणि संबंधित अधिकाऱ्यांना घटनास्थळी पाठवले. भांडुप पोलीस ठाण्यात अपघाताची नोंद करण्याची प्रक्रिया सुरू असून बस मागे घेताना सुरक्षेचे नियम पाळले गेले होते का, चालकाची चूक होती का आणि नेमका घटनाक्रम काय होता याचा तपास सुरू आहे. (BEST Bus Accident)

यापूर्वीही घडला होता भीषण अपघात...

याआधी जून महिन्यात दादर पश्चिम येथील प्लाझा सिनेमाजवळील वीर कोतवाल उद्यान परिसरात 'बेस्ट' बसने एका कारला आणि दुचाकीला धडक दिली होती. त्या अपघातात २८ वर्षीय तरुणाचा मृत्यू झाला होता, तर सहा जण जखमी झाले होते. या सलग घटनांमुळे मुंबईतील 'बेस्ट' बस सुरक्षेचा प्रश्न पुन्हा एकदा ऐरणीवर आला आहे.
