मुंबई: (Oman Rescue Operation) इस्रायल-इराण संघर्षाच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर ओमानच्या समुद्रात अडकलेल्या २४ भारतीय नाविकांची ओमानच्या नौदलाने हेलिकॉप्टरच्या मदतीने सुखरूप सुटका केली. मिसाईल हल्ल्यानंतर तेलवाहू जहाजाला आग लागल्याने या नाविकांच्या जीवाला धोका निर्माण झाला होता. भारतीय तटरक्षक दल आणि ओमानच्या अधिकाऱ्यांच्या समन्वयातून ही मोहीम यशस्वीपणे पार पडली. सोमवारी ८ जून रोजी इस्रायल आणि इराणमधील वाढत्या तणावादरम्यान ओमानच्या समुद्रात उभ्या असलेल्या एका तेलवाहू जहाजावर मिसाईल हल्ला झाल्याची माहिती समोर आली. या हल्ल्यानंतर जहाजाच्या एका भागाला आग लागली. हल्ला नेमका कोणी केला याबाबत अद्याप अधिकृत माहिती समोर आलेली नाही. हल्ल्याच्या वेळी जहाजावर २४ भारतीय नाविक कार्यरत होते. परिस्थिती गंभीर होताच मदतीसाठी भारतीय अधिकाऱ्यांशी संपर्क साधण्यात आला. पलाऊ देशाचा झेंडा असलेल्या एमटी मेरिव्हेक्स या तेलवाहू जहाजावर हा हल्ला झाला होता. जहाज ओमानमधील मसीराह किनाऱ्याजवळ समुद्रात उभे होते. भारतीय तटरक्षक दलाच्या माहितीनुसार, दुपारी २.२० वाजता मुंबईतील समुद्री मदत समन्वय केंद्राला (MRCC Mumbai) या घटनेची माहिती मिळाली. जहाजावरील सर्व २४ कर्मचारी भारतीय असल्याचे स्पष्ट झाल्यानंतर तातडीने बचावकार्याची प्रक्रिया सुरू करण्यात आली. दरम्यान, घटनेचे गांभीर्य लक्षात घेऊन MRCC मुंबईने ओमानच्या समुद्री शोध आणि बचाव केंद्राशी तातडीने संपर्क साधला. त्यानंतर ओमान प्रशासनाने युद्धपातळीवर बचाव मोहीम सुरू केली. दोन हेलिकॉप्टर घटनास्थळी पाठवण्यात आले आणि जहाजावरील सर्व भारतीय नाविकांना सुरक्षितपणे बाहेर काढण्यात आले. संध्याकाळी सुमारे ५ वाजण्याच्या सुमारास ओमानच्या अधिकाऱ्यांकडून संदेश प्राप्त झाला की, सर्व २४ भारतीय नाविकांची सुखरूप सुटका करण्यात आली आहे. त्यानंतर त्यांना सुरक्षित स्थळी हलवण्यात आले. या संपूर्ण बचाव मोहिमेदरम्यान मुंबईतील MRCC आणि ओमानच्या बचाव यंत्रणांमध्ये सातत्याने संपर्क सुरू होता.
